A contemporary jazz concert programme by Alösha Zelensky
Stranger Names/I Don’t Speak Any Languages, is a piano song cycle—sung in English, Russian and Ladino, layered, looped, reworked live.
It’s an account of travels between époques and places. A contemplation on the nature of language, community, wanderlust, and a sense of belonging.
The concert can be played solo piano+vocal or in collaboration with local improvising musicians.
